2. Details
Descriptions.
How they did things, how things looked like, how things were like, how things are placed, how people say things, how something moves.
Jen WAS SITTING WITH HER FRIEND Damien at a WIDE, BLUE kitchen table IN DAMIEN’S HOUSE. Jen was eating a sandwich MADE FROM PURE WHITE BREAD, MEAT AND CHEESE, while Damien was eating HOT TOMATO soup HIS MOM BAKED YESTERDAY. SUDDENLY, Damien ACCIDENTALLY drops his spoon on the WOODEN floor and WITH HIS RIGHT HAND he reaches to get it, WHILE THE LEFT ONE WAS HOLDING ONTO THE SIDE OF THE TABLE.
3. Thoughts, Feelings
What people think, what people feel.
Jen was sitting with her friend Damien at a wide, blue kitchen table in Damien’s house. Jen was eating a sandwich made from pure white bread, meat and cheese, AND THINKING ABOUT NOTHING AT ALL, while Damien was eating hot tomato soup his mom baked yesterday. FALLING INTO HIS THOUGHTS, WHICH WERE MOSTLY IDEAS WHAT TO TALK ABOUT IN ORDER TO BREAK THIS AWKWARD SILENCE BETWEEN THEM, HE suddenly, AND accidentally, drops his spoon on the wooden floor. With his right hand he reaches to get it, while the left one was holding onto the side of the table. JEN HADN’T EVEN NOTICED, WHICH MADE DAMIEN A BIT FRUSTRATED WITH HER. “DOES SHE NOT EVEN CARE? I JUST DROPPED MY SPOON,” HE THOUGHT TO HIMSELF, LITTLE OFFENDED
It went from 4 to 18 lines (which can also be helpful if you are a role-player). Again, you don’t need to have big scripts. If you know what you want, you don’t even need to script at all!
